I hope you´ve fun and will love your "Little friends for little hands" cutie, as much as i loved to create him.
What you need
♦ yarn in skin color, will call this MC (MainColor), you´re on the safety side with 100g
♦ yarn in color of your choice, will call this CC, less than 50g are enough
♦ crochet hook that is suitable to your yarn
For example: i crochet with Himalaya dolphin (super bulky weight yarn) and a 4.00 mm hook (size G)
Abbreviations
st(s) - Stitch(es)
ch - Chain
sc - Single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
FLO - front loop only
BLO - back loop only
sl st - Slip stitch
rnd - Round
sc2tog - Single crochet 2 stitches together
* = Repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as indicated in pattern
( ) = Total number of stitches at the end of round
Part One
Legs + Body (with MC)
Make a magic ring or crochet 2 ch, start in the first st (i choose the second version, when i crochet with bulky yarn like Himalaya dolphin)
Rnd 1: 5 sc into ring. (5 sts)
Rnd 2: 2sc in each st. (10 sts)
Rnd 3: sl st all around. (10 sts)
Rnd 4: (work this round behind the sl st, so you work in the st from round 3) 2 sc in next st, sc in the next 8 st, 2 sc in the next st. (12 sts)
Rnd 5: 2 sc in next st, sc in next 10 sts, 2 sc in next st. (14 sts)
Fasten off first leg, crochet a second leg the same way, but don´t fasten off, we continue with the body:
Rnd 6: start in the st behind your st where you fasten off the first leg, sc in next 13 sts, 2 sc in next st, now continue around the second leg, 2 sc in the first st from rnd 5, sc in next 13 sts. (30 sts)
Rnd 7 - 9: [3 rnds] sc in each st around. (30 sts)
Rnd 10: sc2tog, sc in next 26 sts, sc2tog. (28 sts)
Rnd 11: sc in next 7 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 12 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 5 sts. (26 sts)
Rnd 12: sc2tog, sc in next 22 sts, sc2tog. (24 sts)
Rnd 13: *sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog* 4 times. (20 sts)
Rnd 14 - 15: [2 rounds] sc in each st around. (20 sts)
Rnd 16: sc in next 5 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts. (18 sts)
Rnd 17: sc in each st around. (18 sts)
